LEASING STAGE 1 HOPE ISLAND MARKETPLACE COMPLETE WITH FINAL STAGE 2 LEASING NOW UNDERWAY……..

The new Hope Island Marketplace Shopping Centre at Hope Island is well and truly underway with construction on schedule for a late 2018 opening.

The centre, to be anchored by a 4000m2 Woolworths and a 1650m2 Aldi Supermarket, is being leased exclusively by LJ Hooker Commercial Gold Coast and CBRE Gold Coast.

Stage 1 of the leasing campaign is now complete, with a host of local, national, and international retailers being committed to the project.

“The major coup for the centre was securing a large format AMCAL Pharmacy and Medical Centre”, notes Ashley Moffat, Director of Retail and Commercial Assets for LJ Hooker Commercial Gold Coast. “This tenant will essentially be the mini major for the centre, and being in excess of 550m2, will provide a full line pharmaceutical and medical offering to the catchment”.

Rudi Scutti, Manager Advisory and Transactions Services for CBRE Gold Coast added “we have secured the very first Carls Jnr Drive Thru for the Gold Coast. This is one of the biggest hamburger chains in the world and to have one of the very first drive thru sites in all of Australia at Hope Island is a fantastic achievement.” Another global fast good giant, Dominos Pizza, will also form part of the fast food pad located in the centre carpark.”

With the Hope Island and Northern Gold Coast property market booming, a Westfield shopping centre is also currently under construction in Coomera that is a short 15 minute drive from the Anchorage Apartments. It has been said that this centre is set to be the biggest Westfield Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast. Securing stores such as Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Target and a movie cinema, according to the Westfield team it will be “…your one-stop hub for shopping, fun & relaxation.”

For our residents that are currently living in or planning on moving in prior to the completion of the Coomera Westfield or Hope Island Marketplace, you can find all your big brand grocers just a short distance away at Westfield Helensvale.

For our residents needing white goods, electrical or furniture for their new homes, Homeworld Helensvale is also just a short drive from the apartments.

If you find yourself living a lifestyle that does not include the use of your own personal vehicle, the Anchorage Apartments is close to all modes of public transportation. The Helensvale train station is just a 11 kilometres from the apartments and the Gold Coast Light Rail (also known as the G:link) has recently been upgraded to allow you to travel from Helensvale train station straight into the heart of Surfers Paradise and to the famous Star Casino in Broadbeach. The G:link also allows the public to travel directly to the Gold Coast Hospital, Griffith University, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre (Currently the biggest shopping destination on the Gold Coast), Cavill Avenue and all the way to South Broadbeach. There is also discussions about the G:Link being extended further South to the Gold Coast Air Port, however these plans have not been confirmed.

The G:Link also provides you with direct access to some of the Gold Coast’s most popular beaches. According to ‘ridetheg.com.au,’ “As it happens, the Gold Coast is home to the only trams in the world that have surfboard holders. So why not put them to use? Surfboard holders can be found in the centre two carriages of each tram and will help keep your surfboard safe and secure for your trip…

No need to worry about a carpark by the foreshore, just get on the G: and we’ll link you with some of the Gold Coast’s best beaches. Surfers Paradise beach, Main Beach and Kurrawa beach are all within reach when you ride the G.”

With the upgrade of the train stations and the Gold Coast Light Rail, it also means that both the Brisbane and Gold Coast’s national and international air ports are easily accessible for all of our residents. Keep your own vehicle in the safety of our security gated under cover carparks, while you holiday overseas or set off on a day adventure.

Not only is our Hope Island development within close proximity to public transport and shopping centres, it is also located within a 5km radius of dozens of quality restaurants, golf courses, marinas, major theme parks, schools and a medical centre. With the M1 motorway also conveniently located just 7km away, day trips to near-by destinations such as Brisbane City, Sunshine Coast and south to Byron Bay are at your fingertips.
