December 2017 Development Update

Our amenities area has officially been opened!
All of our residents are now able to enjoy the fully equipped techno gym, swimming pool, magnesium space and our yoga and function room.
We extended an invitation to all of our residents to come and help us celebrate the opening of these facilities on Sunday the 3rd of December. Residents were able to participate and enjoy a special water aerobics class, full use of the techno-gym with a trainer to explain how to correctly use the machines followed by a yoga/pilates fusion class that left our residents feeling refreshed and relaxed! We also catered a morning tea/bbq brunch to allow all of our residents to socialise and get to know one another! We had an absolutely amazing day and cannot express how truly grateful we are to all of our residents for creating such a wonderful community. We cannot wait to see this community grow and become stronger with the upcoming development of Building 3.
All of our outdoor pool and deck furniture is on schedule to arrive to us in January, so stay tuned for the updated photos of the amenities in our January newsletter.

The Experts Behind The Lighting Design

Point of View Design by Tony Dowthwaite

“The general design philosophy was to develop a light plan that established visual boundaries, identified salient points of visual interest & created a subtle artificially illuminated environment. The most important consideration was with the residents in regard to direct glare from luminaires ”

The art and science behind the design of The Anchorage Apartment Buildings have come from the masterminds at Forgan Smith Architects on the Gold Coast. Project leader Greg Coles had the following to say when asked to describe his experience working on the Anchorage Apartments:

“From the first meeting with our clients… we knew “the Anchorage” would be a significant project, one which could stand out from the rest as a special place to live.

The unique values of the site with its water access, location and outstanding views encouraged us to make the best of the architecture to enhance these features.”

Greg explains, “The project consists of seven buildings of varying heights, all positioned to maximise views and solar orientation.

The use of Multi-level carparks, linked under the various buildings, increases the availability of deep planting zones and expansive Communal Facilities as well as raised lower level units to maximise views.

The units have been designed to take advantage of the Gold Coast’s great weather and comprise a range of sizes and features to suit many purchasers…

All of this combined with a very good builder in Stokes Wheeler, we are confident “The Anchorage” will be a great place to live or invest in, and be a project we as Architects will be proud to be associated with.”
