BUILDING 5 UPDATE
Despite the wild rain recently, works are still progressing well on Building 5 with only a little delay on the schedule. In early April we poured the level 4 deck, and if the sunny weather holds we’ll be able to pour level 5 on April 29th . Framing and services works are underway for the lower levels as well. Keep your fingers crossed for more great weather, so we can make up any lost ground during the downpours!
ANCHORAGE SOCIAL SCENE
MEN'S SPACE COMING SOON TO ANCHORAGE
Anchorage’s first Men’s Space is happening! In Australian culture, the backyard shed has always been the place for men to meet and build – and now, we have an updated, modern version of the old Aussie shed coming to Anchorage! The plans for the building are being drawn up as we speak. The Men’s Space is going to be a great way for men of all walks to meet, come together and do something meaningful in their spare time. We’re very excited about this new addition to the Anchorage lifestyle. Keep an eye out for more updates and how you can be part of the Men’s Space too! |
ANZAC DAY SERVICE
SAYING GOODBYE TO GEOFF AND JULIE
Geoff and Julie have been our on-site managers since the Anchorage project began, and it was with sadness (and a few drinks!) that we said goodbye to them on Saturday afternoon. 49 residents and staff attended their farewell at Hope Island Boardwalk Tavern, all of whom built special relationships with the pair over their years at Anchorage. It’s with a sad heart that we say goodbye to them both, but we thank them sincerely for their friendship and service, and wish them all the best on the next step of their journey. Thank you Geoff and Julie! |
MUCH NEEDED RAIN @ ANCHORAGE
The gardens are green and flourishing after the rainstorms in previous weeks! The community garden in particular is loving the extra water and sunshine. We love to see snapshots from our residents (just look how beautiful the sunset is over the river!), so please send them through to be shared. We love to hear from you and see the world through your lens. |
COMMUNITY GARDEN SPROUTS AT ANCHORAGE
Our community gardens are run by volunteer residents, and this month more residents raised their hands to help out! Thank you to Russ, Pam and Margaret who have been planting new fruits and vegetables for the next season (and for all of us to enjoy). We’re excited to see them take our gardens to the next level! |
PLEASE MEET GREG!
We’re so excited to welcome a new team member to our Anchorage family. Greg Davies has worked for our builders at Stokes Wheeler for over 16 years, and has been onsite here at Anchorage since the beginning of our project. A true sportsman, Greg actually played for the Cronulla Sharks, and loves paddle boarding, the gym and hitting a round of golf. You’ll know Greg by his friendly smile and happy demeanour, so say hi if you see him around! |
PLEASE MEET GREG!
Restrictions finally lifted and our residents wasted no time getting back into the swing of Sundowners! Every fortnight we gather for Sunday Sundowners Drinks and enjoying an entertaining ‘happy hour’ together by the pool. It’s always great to see everyone joining in to celebrate the fantastic community we have here at Anchorage! |
